We are writing to inform you of an important policy change in China that will affect lithium battery pricing, and to help you plan your procurement accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Is Changing?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On July 17, 2026, China&#8217;s Ministry of Finance, the General Administration of Customs, and the State Taxation Administration jointly issued <strong>Announcement No. 20 of 2026<\/strong>, which ends the consumption tax exemption that lithium-ion batteries have enjoyed since 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the new policy:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>From September 1, 2026:<\/strong> \u0410 <strong>2% consumption tax<\/strong> will be levied on lithium-ion batteries (including all CSSUN LiFePO4 energy storage and lithium battery products).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>From September 1, 2027:<\/strong> The tax rate will increase to <strong>4%<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/cssun.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/1786952581674-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8679\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cssun.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/1786952581674-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/cssun.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/1786952581674-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/cssun.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/1786952581674-768x576.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/cssun.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/1786952581674-1536x1152.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/cssun.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/1786952581674-16x12.jpeg 16w, https:\/\/cssun.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/1786952581674.jpeg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What This Means for You<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As a manufacturer, this additional tax will increase our production costs across <strong>all CSSUN lithium battery product lines<\/strong>. To maintain our commitment to quality and service, we will need to adjust our prices once the policy takes effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our Recommendation: Lock in Current Prices<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We strongly advise you to place your orders before September 1, 2026<\/strong> to secure the current, tax-exempt pricing.
